£100k CLG Funding for Redress Trailblazers
Jenny Robins (13 July 2009 09:42)
CLG have launched an opportunity for local authority areas to submit an 'expression of interest' to become a 'redress' trailblazer.
Redress trailblazers aim to ensure that Local service providers not only deal better with complaints but also get it right first time. The main themes of the Review are:
- The service and remedy pledge: clearly setting out how local service providers will get it right, and right any wrongs
- The importance of the frontline: understanding that good people are more important than process
- Customer-focused partnerships: making sure that partnerships deliver a seamless experience and an economy of effort for the customer.
Details are at http://www.communities.gov.uk/documents/communities/pdf/1270080.pdf, and the deadline for expressions of interest is 17th July. Up to £100k is available to support each trailblazer, and it is expected that there will be one per region.
