Carbon Management Planning

The North East was the first region in the UK to sign all local authorities and FRSs up to the Carbon Trust Carbon Management Plan. Each authority agreed to work to implement new behaviours and technologies to reduce the region's greenhouse gas emissions and fuel costs. A Regional Climate Change Best Practice Group was established to monitor and share examples of good practice and encourage a collective approach to addressing common issues.
