Whole Life Costing and Carbon Accounting:

Two half day training sessions, morning/afternoon of the 10th of June.

As part of its wider programme of work on sustainable procurement the North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership is running two practical training sessions on whole life costing and carbon accounting.

The aim of these events is to introduce and provide training in the use of a new tool which enables comparisons to be made not just of the financial costs of different forms of energy using/saving and renewable product options but also of their relative carbon balances.

The course is primarily aimed at local authority and fire service staff and should be of particular value to those working in the areas of carbon/energy management, SEAP's, asset management and procurement. The training will be based on a tool developed by ICLEI (the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives).

Both sessions will run on Thursday,10th of June in a Netskills computer suite at the University of Newcastle, venue details will follow once registration has been completed.

For those who attended a previous introductory session on this tool (held on the 16th of March) and who wish to attend this follow up event please book onto the morning session (session 1), 9.30-12.30, the link is;
