Independent Review of the North East Neighbourhood Resource Centre (NENRC)

Holden McAllister was commissioned by the RIEP to review the North East Neighbourhood Resource Centre (NENRC).

The project was completed at the end of January 2009. It reviewed the work of the NENRC, including looking at the current host arrangements, and made recommendations regarding future service provision based on current and emerging needs and working relationships in the context of the 'Communities in Control' white paper.

In summary, it concluded that NENRC is valued by services which use it, there is the opportunity to build on the progress made in 2008/09 with the revised hosting arrangements and that it gives good value for money. It also makes a handful of recommendations for service improvement which the NENRC have committed to implement appropriately between April and September 2009.
