North East Improvement & Efficiency Partnership: Information for Councillors

Councillors are at the very heart of the Improvement & Efficiency Partnership. Our political accountability is provided by the Leaders & Elected Mayors' group of the Association of North East Councils.

From Leaders and Cabinet Members, to front line councillors, there is a range of activity happening in the Partnership that councillors will find of interest, or can help to shape and influence. Remember, the RIEP is not a stand-alone body - it is a regional partnership of all twelve Councils and the four Fire & Rescue Services.

To find out more about the RIEP and its various Programmes, please visit the links to the left hand side, where you will see all of our Programmes listed. Click on each link to find out more, and who to contact.

If you click on the 'Resources' tab above, you'll find a compilation of reports and other useful information.

The Training & Development page contains information about events, opportunities and offers for councillors to get involved in.

We issue a quarterly bulletin for Members - sign up to receive the Members' Bulletin. Read previous issues below.
