The Institute is gearing up for a busy year ahead following last months' launch event.
Roberta Blackman-Woods MP, the Deputy Regional Minister, spoke at the launch and said, "The Association of North East Councils, through the North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, has demonstrated strong political leadership and has been instrumental in securing financial support for this venture. There is now a real and combined effort to create a lasting legacy for the region in terms of providing the research and evidence base to inform policy on social, economic and environmental issues that impact on the lives of citizens and communities."
A series of 'Pathfinder' research projects are now in progress.
