Signature Projects

Working together with local authorities and Fire and Rescue Services (FRSs) since April 2008 we are delivering outcomes which will benefit communities, improve services and generate efficiencies across the public sector.

Our programmes are making a real difference to the lives of North East citizens and have already realised significant savings. We have selected a number of projects that are outstanding examples of what can be achieved when authorities work together for a shared outcome.

These 'Signature' projects have been highlighted for their potential to make the biggest impact for the benefit of our local authorities and their communities. They represent some of the best outcomes which can be realised through strategic and collaborative working. Our investment anticipates an estimated minimum return of over £296m by 2013.

Here you will find a brief summary of each Signature project along with their anticipated benefits for the North East.

Many of the projects are still in development and have the flexibility to change. If you are interested in becoming involved, there are many opportunities to engage in them.
